Ghost Dog: The Way of the Samurai
Double Sided UK Quad, Rolled, 30 x 40 inches
Jim Jarmusch's most mainstream film is a hugely original entry into the assassin genre. The violent elements are blended really well with the mundane of Ghost Dog's life and the humour is also pitch perfect (from Public Enemy loving mafioso to Ghost Dog's French/English exchanges with the Haitian Ice Cream Man). Forest Whitaker is as likeable as ever and the samurai philosophy and his narration work well. Throw in the Rza's original score and you have a film that is the very epitome of cool. The quad is a really nice poster and the artwork is unique to the UK. |
